What is 2048 Cupcakes?
A sweet puzzle classic
2048 Cupcakes is a themed version of the popular sliding puzzle. Combine identical cupcake tiles to create higher tiers, working your way toward the Rainbow Cupcake (8192) — then keep merging into endless procedural tiers with no upper limit.
Each merge adds points to your score and spawns a new cupcake on the board. The challenge is planning slides so your largest tile stays in a corner while you build long merge chains without trapping yourself.
How to play
Learn the basics in six quick steps

Slide the board
Use arrow keys on desktop or swipe on mobile to move every cupcake in that direction.

Merge matching cupcakes
When two identical cupcakes touch, they combine into the next tier and you earn points equal to the new value.

Watch a new tile appear
After every successful move, a new Vanilla or Chocolate cupcake spawns in a random empty cell.

Reach Rainbow, then go endless
Merge from Vanilla → Chocolate → Strawberry and beyond until you hit 🌈 Rainbow at 8192. Tap Keep Playing to continue into Cosmic, Stellar, Nova, and higher endless tiers.

Use power tools wisely
Undo reverses your last move, Swap exchanges any two tiles, and Shuffle rearranges the board when you're stuck.

Avoid a full board
The game ends when no empty cells remain and no adjacent cupcakes can merge — plan ahead to keep options open.

Arrow keys
Press ↑ ↓ ← → to slide all cupcakes in that direction on desktop.
Swipe gestures
Swipe up, down, left, or right on the game board on touch devices.
Undo
Take back your last move — up to 10 previous states are saved.
Swap
Enable Swap mode, tap two cupcakes, and exchange their positions.
Shuffle
Randomly rearrange all cupcakes on the board when you need a fresh layout.
Restart
Start a brand-new game with a clean board and zero score.

Endless mode
After Rainbow, every merge doubles the value with new procedural tier names
Merge two Rainbow cupcakes to create Cosmic (16384), then Stellar (32768), Nova (65536), and beyond. Each new personal-best tile triggers a celebration — but the board keeps going until you run out of moves.
Keep a corner anchor
Build your largest tile in one corner and grow outward for cleaner merges.
Plan two moves ahead
Every slide adds a new tile — avoid moves that trap low-value cupcakes in bad spots.
Stay patient
High scores come from controlled chains, not rushed slides.
